SIGA-CUSTOM-57
These 12-ft bus shelters, inspired by California Modernism, are changing the landscape of Los Angeles, California. Tolar Manufacturing worked in collaboration with Tranzito-Vector, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), and the City of Los Angeles to create bus shelters that are an easy-to-assemble kit of parts, creating customized solutions through out the City.
The Signature Custom bus shelters sport a modern angled aluminum flat roof below the upper structure of 3-in sq. steel tube framing, including three part ceiling and wrap around aluminum skin along with perforated rear screen. Under roof LED illumination provides passenger security.
Passengers make use of many digital solutions including an LED backlit rectangular plate at each bus shelter end offering real-time information, smart light communications, location branding, RTIS, and optional emergency call box communications. All powered by solar or 110V inset into the bus shelter end wall, depending on location throughout the city.
