This non-advertising 23-ft bus shelter in for WMATA in Washington D.C. features a flat Empire full-welded roof structure with 23-ft x 5-ft roof dripline and 6-in front fascia for branding and street name decals. The 1/4″ thick translucent white acrylic monolithic roof panels are secured by gasketed pressure ribs and front and rear u-channel. Weather-protecting 3/8″ clear tempered glass panels comprise center, full-end and rear walls, with the rear wall also showcasing an HDDP printed “M Metro” logo. Custom Sunset aluminum extrusion support posts with decorative spun aluminum escutcheon shoe covers have internally telescoping adjustable leveling shoes make for easy installation on a surface mounted concrete pad. Electrical access is provided through an enclosure above the left rear post containing 120VAC electrical controls and components. Security lighting is provided via two 8W LED strip lights integrated into the shelter roof. WMATA digital signage is secured with a mounting bracket on the interior roof while the left rear wall is prepared to mount a map case. Seating is provided via an interior lean/grab rail tube mounted to corner posts on both sides of the center wall panel and inside of both end wall panels.
This all aluminum construction bus shelter is finished in super durable baked powder coat color as selected from Tolar’s standard color deck.
