Two fully welded bench seats are mounted on both sides of the center column providing seating at smaller bus stops. High visibility city branding is displayed on 3/8-in clear tempered safety glass on the rear wall. Both rear and half-end walls are supported custom Sunset aluminum extrusion posts with internally telescoping adjustable leveling shoes and decorative spun aluminum escutcheon shoe covers. The shelter is constructed of all aluminum with fully welded roof structure and bronze tinted 3/8-in heat formed monolithic polycarbonate roof panels secured by gasketed pressure ribs. Illumination is through an RMS50 solar security lighting system that provides, dusk-to-dawn lighting from the shelter roof, UL-listed components for certified safety, 50W photovoltaic panels mounted to the shelter roof, a custom mounting kit, solar controller, batteries, and components mounted in weather tight enclosure integrated into shelter roof beam design. LED security lighting is integrated into the shelter rear beam. All parts are finished in super durable baked powder coat finish color RAL 9005 Jet Black. As always, all installation hardware is included.

These Signature Sunset bus shelters have been approved for use as the standard advertising shelter by for the City of Cincinnati, OH and by the Southwestern Regional Transit Authority operating Go*Metro. Tolar Manufacturing worked with Adsposure to fulfill this project.
These advertising transit shelters are provided in two sizes, 8-ft and 10-ft models. They feature a radius roof comprised of 1/8-in aluminum roof panels secured by gasketed pressure ribs and all aluminum construction with stainless steel fasteners and uniwelded roof structure. The rear beam and posts are custom designed with Sunset aluminum extrusion and integral glazing channels. The rear and half upstream end wall is made of 3/8-in clear tempered safety glass secured by gasketed glazing channel and glass rail mullions. A standard flat back-to-back advertising kiosk is located in the downstream end wall and includes an integrated diffuser with poster retainer clips and side hinged doors secured by tamper proof screws and 3/16-in clear tempered glass lenses. Internally telescoping adjustable leveling shoes with decorative spun aluminum escutcheon shoe covers provide ease of installation. Each shelter includes standard 4-ft perforated metal benches and are finished in super durable baked powder coat (color: Sparkle Silver) with clear coat.
While these specific advertising shelters for Cincinnati do not have electrical or illumination, Signature Sunset advertising shelters can easily accommodate connected or solar electrical power for advertising display illumination, security lighting, real-time information and more.

A 6-in aluminum fascia runs along the roof front with custom branding. An aluminum logo disk further portrays school branding on the half end wall. All metal parts are finished in super durable baked powder coat custom color matched to surrounding street furniture. In 2018, Tolar Manufacturing was awarded a second five-year contract to manufacture up to 90 bus shelters for the Indianapolis Public Transportation Company (IndyGo). Most bus shelters are 5′ x 10′ in size and modeled after the company’s popular Signature Sunset series. Some shelters have a larger footprint and are incorporated into the agency’s Super Stops program, which enhances the experience for IndyGo riders by providing shelter from the elements while waiting for the bus. Importantly, the shelters include solar illumination to provide the utmost passenger safety. Other amenities include seat-delineated benches, revenue-generating advertising displays, and trash receptacles.
